A physical visualization of people’s opinion to use anywhere, anyhow
EDF Foundation Paris GDC San Francisco PMQ Hong Kong
Data Strings is a physical installation that evolves with people’s answers, unveiling social patterns through the information given by the participants. They are asked to answer different questions by knitting the information on the different options, generating a visualization of collective thoughts and facts that enables them to compare their answers with a bigger picture.
When we visualize people’s thoughts, it becomes a bigger story
The Data Strings experience has been adapted to many places, topics and situations all over the world. In fact, from 2014 on, we’ve made more than 65 live graphics around the globe.
The result is an engaging physical visualization. The system is customizable and has been adapted to many topics, from ethic surveys to ethnographic research. Once the installation is over we can understand how the audience collectively perceives a certain topic.
