Orchestrating Connection

Combining light, sculpture and data to understand the music industry

Barcelona Music Lab are on a mission to shape a harmonious digital future for the music industry, they aim to create opportunities and nurture talent. With this sculpture we looked to convey this mission, recycling 5,357 plastic bottles and 3-D printing them into this fluid, natural form.

Visitors to the Mobile World Congress could approach the piece and learn about the relationship between innovation, technology and the environment in the music industry. The lights within the sculpture would illuminate to represent the data that was explained over the audio.

Music is more present and accessible than ever before, and the more we listen the more complex the industry becomes. With this piece we wove together the many agents that make up Catalunya's contemporary music landscape.
