Tomorrow Today - Museum of the Future

Exploring the challenges and opportunities shaping our times

When we think about the future, we often imagine sci-fi movie scenes with futuristic cities and incredible buildings. That's probably why it makes perfect sense that the first "Museum of the Future" has opened in a city like Dubai.

It’s been referred to as a miracle of engineering, and Domestic Data Streamers have been invited inside to participate in the “Tomorrow Today'' exhibition: an ever-evolving showcase of the innovations shaping our future.

“Clean energy futures” provides an interactive breakdown of the strengths and limitations of renewable energy technologies, opening debates around their impact on the planet, their efficiency, and how we share responsibilities between governments and citizens in the face of the climate crisis.

“Smart daily rituals'' is an interactive experience that confronts the domestic dystopia we are creating in our own homes, where our needs and habits are constantly monitored and tracked. The piece includes the most cutting-edge smart devices, and allows them to demonstrate in their own words how they may one day encroach on our personal freedoms.

Unfortunately, we can’t gaze into our crystal ball to find it out, but what we do know for sure is that the questions we ask, and the discussions we start today will shape that future.
